Tim is Out this Morning

I just got word from Michelle that Tim was up all night with horrific back pain.  Needless to say, he won't make it this morning.  In the past I would have had to preach his sermons for him.  But with our present evaluation of Multi-site, we'll play the DVD of his sermon last night, which was really well done.  This will give us another chance to see our crowd's reaction to a recorded version of the sermon instead of a live person in the pulpit.

Pray for Tim.  I've been where he is at.  The pain can be indescribable.  I finally had to have back surgery, which in my case worked really well.  I haven't had a problem in the last 7 years.

Why Requel?

  • Mark Pierce is the pastor of Church Requel, a church started in December 2008 in Mansfield, Ohio. This weblog is about Mark and his efforts to plant the church. He is also husband of 29 years to a most fantastic woman, dad to four great kids, grandfather of another four (soon to be five!), and the son of his biggest fan.
  • In the movie business a "sequel" is a film that logically continues the story to the next episode. A "prequel" is a film that tells the story before the story. Now a new word has entered our lexicon: the "requel," another way of looking at the same story. Church Requel, then, is another way of looking at church, a new take on how church is done. This blog is my chance to talk and learn about leading and serving in a “Requel” environment.
