Last evening Church Requel met at Mosaic. Our meeting place was unavailable so we needed a place to conduct our Sunday evening service. Mosaic was most gracious to allow us to use their church last night. I was so proud of our setup team. They showed up early and worked tirelessly and enthusiastically. Predictably our crowd last night was lower than normal because of the weekend's winter storm and because of the Super Bowl. But I am glad we held our service. We learned a lot about ourselves last night... and all of it good! I know I'm blessed to be surrounded by such a wonderful group of people. And I sense they all feel the same way. LOST: "Volte-Face"

These are the pictures of the first evening of the LOST sermon series. We decorated our space to look like the Hawaiian Island LOST television series, also beginning its sixth season. Our series is about Luke 15. We have no idea what the LOST sixth season will be about!

Hans Urs von Balthasar: Dare We Hope "That All Men Be Saved"?: With a Short Discourse on Hell
How many ways can one say he hated reading a book. Had to read this one for seminary class. Refuted most of what I read in my review, posted online. Not recommended. (*)
Tim Irwin: Derailed: Five Lessons Learned from Catastrophic Failures of Leadership (NelsonFree)
I'm really enjoying this leadership book. I also love the "Nelson Free" addition of mp3 and eBook.
Jonathan Aitken: John Newton: From Disgrace to Amazing Grace
Just picked this up free on my Kindle. Thanks to my brother Todd, who recommended it.
Seth Godin: Linchpin: Are You Indispensable?
Downloaded from Audible and listening to book. Seth Godin himself reads it, which is great. He gets all the inflections just the way he intended. But it's one of those reads that you take in a little bit at a time.
Harry Markopolos: No One Would Listen: A True Financial Thriller
Another download from Audible.com. The audio sounded really compelling. The story, I think, speaks for itself.
Stanley J. Grenz: Theology for the Community of God
One of the books for my Theology II class.
David Baldacci: True Blue
Finished reading the book on my Kindle. Good story, but not a great story. Baldacci is such a great writer. He can make even a not so great tale like True Blue into something worth reading. But I had to work my way through to the end. (***)
