I had a great deal of positive response from those who heard this sermon. I know there are many in our church, who have not had a great relationship with their own earthly daddys. Nevertheless, I was overwhelmed with those who told me how much this talk meant to them. Our Bible study is from Romans 8. However, I was also inspired to layer in one great line from the book (or movie), The Help. What would 2012 be like if every morning, when you wake up, you hear God's Spirit whisper to you: "You is smart. You is kind. You is important?"
