Mark Pierce, pastor of the new Church Requel, is pleased to announce his church's new partnership with Church Community Builder (CCB). CCB is a web-based church management system, which provides calendaring, scheduling, church membership and record keeping for the local church.
More than anything else, CCB will provide the means for people who join Church Requel to be connected to one another. Parishioners of Church Requel will be able to interact, encourage each other, promote fellowship in small groups and communicate with each other.
Mark Pierce began his relationship with Church Community Builder in August 2008, when he was the executive pastor of the mega-church sized Crossroads Community Church. He has regularly written about the process of implementing CCB on this weblog. Now, as the pastor of a brand new church plant, Mark believes the need for Church Community Builder is even greater. "I saw the results of twelve years of individual databases throughout all the different departments of the church. I thought to myself how much better the church would have been had it just started out with something like CCB." Now Mark will be able to see his own church benefit from such an organized beginning.
When the new website for Church Requel is up and running, there will be a place where parishioners of Church Requel can log in and check out their small groups, serving groups and individual messages. If they would like (their option), they can provide additional contact information for other parishioners of Church Requel to get in touch with them. Think of CCB as an on-line photo directory, which never becomes out of date! Yet, unlike public social networking sites like Facebook, the on-line directory for Church Requel will be private, only available to other people who are part of the church.
In addition, parishioner donation records will be available to them on-line all year long - not just at tax time. And CCB now provides the ability to provide recurring giving to the church, in any schedule that works best for the member.
Some people may be wondering how it would be possible for a new church plant to be able to afford such a robust church management system as CCB. Actually, it's not all that prohibitive. CCB offers their Essential product on a sliding scale based upon the number of people who currently attend the church. With only twenty people as part of Church Requel at the moment, the cost is quite reasonable. And, as the attendance at Church Requel grows, our ability to afford CCB will also increase.
Clearly the owners of CCB have a GREAT PASSION for church plants and have structured their products to make them as affordable as possible. If you are reading this and wondering whether or not this might be right for you or your church, first check out the company's website. They have a great video tour of the entire product, which you can request for free. But then take the next step and call Steve Caton or Cathy Woodard at 866-242-1199
. Take it from someone who has done business with both of them. You'll be glad you made the call!
