Each weekend we at Church Requel attempt to provide a theme and then seek out elements to support that theme. This weekend our theme is the concept of being united in our minds and spirits as Christ-followers. As you can imagine there are many ways to illustrate this, but we've found a couple ways that we are really excited about.
First off, we have a countdown video with the focus on what love really means that is sure to put your busy life into focus. It would be worthwhile for you to arrive a few minutes early, if you can, Sunday evening.
Then Nate Williams and the Praise Band have a very special opener to sing for you. If you've ever heard "Mess of Me," by Switchfoot, then you know that we're in for a special beginning! When we spend our lives focusing on self, we do make a mess of me! The worship set also includes Church Requel favorites "Empty Me," "Mighty to Save," and for the first time at CR, "Draw Me Close."
We also have a couple videos which will put exclamation points onto our talk from Philippians 2:1-5. I'm particularly excited about a video by the incredible drama team One Time Blind named, "The Stool." You'll never look at your obedience to Christ the same again after watching this video!
Remember - our new location is at Ontario Christian Fellowship, 636 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, just one mile south of Richland Mall. See you Sunday at 6PM!
