This weekend I return to the pulpit after taking a week off last weekend for Jillian's wedding. I have really enjoyed the study time this week in Philippians 4, considering the case of an early church spat sadly repeated many times over in the 2,000 years since. We'll examine 3 important principles of reconciliation. We'll ask one question that will motivate you to do everything you can to make things right with someone else. And then we'll start talking about how best to go about it. I say "start" because this is one lesson that will take us 3 weeks to fully teach. If you want to prepare your heart and mind well for this weekend, start reading and thinking about Philippians 4:2-5.
Nate, Ryan, Chad and Jana have worked hard to lead us in our worship time this week. In addition to favorites "Lead Me to the Cross" and "All Creatures of Our God and King," the Praise Team will teach us a new song named "Stronger" written and performed by Hillsong Music.
Jean McKinney will be reading Scripture for the first time this weekend. Our communion time will also be focused on our evening's theme of reconciliation with the Song of Reconciliation by Susan Ashton. We also have a very funny video to introduce our sermon. (Is funny the right word? Ironic? Sadly true? You'll laugh outside and maybe cry inside just a little, when you see it.)
We have a great evening lined up for Sunday night. You'll want to be there with your friends. Remember - our new location is at Ontario Christian Fellowship, 636 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, just one mile south of Richland Mall. See you Sunday at 6PM!
