Good Friday morning Church Requel!
When you think of Thanksgiving, what comes first to mind? Turkey dinner? Family gathering? Football games? Shopping? How about this - giving thanks!?
This season the churches in Godsfield are making an extra special effort to give thanks to God for 256 hours! Each day between now and next Thursday one of these churches will be offering a special opportunity for you to come and worship and give thanks. We've already had two of these services - Wednesday at the MAC and last night at the ARC. Both were wonderful! Both were unique in their worship styles.
TONIGHT! We gather at the Fusion, 200 Industrial Parkway in Lexington at 7th pm.
SATURDAY MORNING at 10:30 AM! We worship and give thanks with Sar Shalom, 2510 W. Fourth Street.
SUNDAY NIGHT! The Potter's House at 7pm, 374 Willowood Dr. East
Monday at 7pm - Open Bible, 1150 Rayfield
Tuesday at 7pm - Holy Trinity, 525 West Cook Road
Wednesday (Thanksgiving Eve) at 6:30pm - Linden Road Presbyterian, 160 S. Linden Road
Thanksgiving Concert & Potluck - Sunday, November 28th. A week from Sunday we have our own special Thanksgiving plans in store! We'll enjoy our regular Sunday morning service at 11am. Then we will go downstairs to enjoy a Thanksgiving potluck together. Everybody bring some kind of food to share. The church will provide sliced ham, paper plates and eating utensils, and drinks. Should be a festive time.
At 1pm, we'll go back upstairs for a special Thanksgiving Concert that the Praise Band has prepared for you! We've also invited the other Godsfield churches to join us as well, so be good hosts to our Christian brothers and sisters!
This Sunday! We have lots of great things planned for our worship service this Sunday morning. Here are the highlights.
We are so excited that Don and Vanessa, our online members from England, have agreed to help us enter into our Lord's Presence. Vanessa has prepared a special song. Don will lead us in celebrating our communion together!
The Praise Band will lead us in singing five worship songs together: "Start Right Here" by Casting Crowns; "Revelation Song" by Kari Jobe; "Do It Again" by Elevation Worship; "King Of My Heart" by Bethel; and "Battle Belongs" by Phil Wickham.
We begin a new, short, two-week sermon series this Sunday. The title of our sermon will be "What God Remembers That We Forget." We'll talk about 4 things we tend to forget (but God remembers) and it would be a good idea for us to remember too!

Operation Christmas Child - Only a few days left! If you haven't yet packed a shoebox for a child in need, it's not too late! Shoeboxes can be brought to Church Requel this Sunday morning OR can be brought to any one of more than 4,000 drop-off locations across the country through Monday, Nov. 22 when National Collection Week will end.
