You LORD, You alone are LORD;
you made the heavens and the stars of the sky.
You made land and sea and everything in them;
you gave life to all.
The heavenly powers bow down and worship you. (Neh. 9:6 GNT)
NASA's WISE telescope captured this picture of Andromeda Galaxy, published earlier this week. This is the closest galaxy to our own Milky Way galaxy. To give some scale to the massive size of Andromeda, consider that this photograph is actually of 3 galaxies, not just one. The bright blue dot above center left and the other bright blue dot below center left are also believed to be galaxies in their own right rotating around Andromeda.
When I see pictures like this I cannot help but be led to worship our Creator LORD. "When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place," (Psalm 8:3 ESV) then I want to cry out in praise: "O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens" (Psalm 8:1 ESV).
