This is our last picture of Jillian at home in her designer bedroom. She leaves today for new digs at Cedarville University.
Mary Kay and I took Jillian to Bob Evans on the way to Cedarville. We wanted to have one last relaxing meal together before the rush of the weekend was upon us.
On the left is Jillian's new roommate, Hayley. She graduated from a high school in Germany. Her family is now living in Texas. Rachel, on the right, is Jillian's resident assistant.
The whole process of getting Jillian registered was fun and welcoming. At the beginning of the registration we were greeted by the CU mascot, a "Yellow Jacket."
Here's Jillian opening her CU mailbox for the first time. She was surprised to discover that Grandma Hawk had already sent her a card!
Jillian and I stand beneath a clock next to the lake at Cedarville. I can't help but think that time has gone by way too quickly.
Everything and everybody at Cedarville was so welcoming. Even the rocks said, "Welcome!"
The close of the weekend for the parents was this session with Dr. Bill Brown, president of the university. His talk was warm and insightful.
